Levi, A citizen of an AI led country. That is also split…

The day of the inauguration has come today. The country has been split into two halves to avoid forcing anyone to commit to something new. This is taken care of, and no money has to be spent on the families to change where they want to live. Levi believes that a machine for a president is a wondrous idea. Humans cannot be trusted to govern themselves without hurting one another. This AI is fueled by electricity and all of human history and other government structures. It uses this data to help determine what is best for the future.
On the first day in office, the president figures out the best way to handle all the chaos. Coronavirus bills are released to help all the people who really need aid. Laws are instituted to protect safety. The AI can do many different computations involving math for managing government funding to every possible effect caused by legislation. It will make legislation that benefits most of the U.S. Since everyone who was against it decides to move out, everyone else is for it.
On the other hand, the country ruled by a human will continue to have the same issues. Their country gets more marginalized, and social unrest rises exponentially—people flood from the old United States to experience a less biased rule. The AI president is biased toward logic. This could have led to issues if it was not implanted with concepts of what is humane. All the citizens’ opinions and beliefs are requested, and it figures out what is best for everyone without physically hurting anyone. Eliminating racist laws would hurt racists, but not in any meaningful way, so it is alright. The Old US decided that the AI helped their neighbor, so they decided to advise its president. Eventually, the old country learns to accept machines, but the robots have less power.
From an Ethical and humanitarian perspective, the president wants to help as many people as possible by hurting as few as possible when a virus breaks out; the AI figures out the best plan to keep Americans protected. When a natural disaster strikes, the AI will send the proper amount of aid immediately. The AI improves the entire country, and if anything were to go wrong, it could be shut off and replaced by the Vice President, and the machine will advise instead to avoid it gaining too much power.
In the end, not much has changed for non-marginalized. For the marginalized, they feel more content with the changes instituted by the AI president. In the end, the AI is still just a president that has checks and balances.
Levi is generally happy and feels that this is a successful society. He is happy with his life and finally feels like he lives in a country where the leader actually wants to eliminate issues instead of creating them.
