Creative “Shooting Blind”

So this story is based on the game Destiny 2, and one of its main villains turned good guy. Basically, the Crow is a prince, who was trying to bring his sister back from the dead (turns out she wasn’t dead, but that’s a long story), but he was tricked by a wish-granting space dragon and killed by the main protagonist of the game. He was brought back to life by a ghost, but the side effect is that you lose all of your memory. The premise of my story is that the Crow and his ghost Glint have begun fighting the enemies of humanity, but because he is inexperienced he gets reckless and causes some issues(I want to make it clear, my entire story is just me spinning yarn, the characters are from a game, and some of the names and abilities are as well, but the narrative is entirely my own. It is a chunk out of my larger final game, so that’s why it may feel kind of like you are missing context.

I only really encountered one problem while writing this, and that was with one of my set variables. I tried everything, yet it would always display both chunks regardless of your decision even though I didn’t have that problem with other variables. I don’t know how exactly to fix it and I spent hours trying and failing. The wiki was helpful, but it didn’t fix my problem in the end. If you have any suggestions as to how I can fix that it would be greatly appreciated.
